Managing Problem Behavior In Home, School and Community

A POAC seminar- Children with autism and other developmental disabilities may engage in inappropriate or dangerous behaviors that interfere with learning or may be socially isolating. It is important that parents, as well as educators, are able to manage these by being able to:
◾Identify the functions of behavior
◾Manipulate antecedents to make the behavior less likely to occur
◾Implement the appropriate protocols to decrease the behaviors
