For people with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) and mental health needs, group and individual psychological treatment is most effective when the clinical principles are repeated in daily life, through vocational and residential services, with the same goals and therapeutic orientation. This model evolved from a relapse prevention program for people with ID and problematic sexual behaviors. Using principles from Positive Psychology, Systems, Psychodrama, and Positive Behavior Supports, this model demonstrates an integrated, collaborative clinical approach to treatment.
